2000 -- 24' 6" SHAMROCK
Model: Center Console
Cockpit: Visibility while running is great. Great room in, and around the helm area. If you use the boat for gatherings with family & friends, great stable boat, especially the swim platform is great for the keys!
Cabin: No cabin, but forward of helm area rises to access the head. More for the girls, but better then a deck bucket!
Construction: Solid boat, great glass work, solid & overbuilt construction. Not a Whaler or a Grady, but she handles so well running at any forward speed, with great tracking, and a steady ride. Not a deep vee, but if you slow down, it can handle a good size wake at slow speeds. Good quality construction in the engine area & keel/ drive train.
Handling: Handling in the forward motion is excellant from idle to about 3500 RPM/30 MPH. above that, she plows a bit, even w/o tabs in the turns, back off the gas, and she turns quick. With the prop pocket, and no keel, it lost a little, but runs in about 24" of water w/o the keel drive. PS. Going backwards with a single inboard Shamrock is a challenge, but if you give it a chance, you can adapt....
Engine Room: 315 hp PCM F/I, FWC inboard, great power package, great fuel economy at 3000 rpm. She runs great! And so far, w/o any real issues. Max speed about 37 mph. But who's in a hurry to get off the water???
General Comments: This boat is not fished, but it has all the best to do so. I've met others who have this same hull, and they fisg all the time & love it. I have owned many different boats, in many sizes & types. This is my favorite for it's size.
