Boat Reviews By Owners

1980 -- 28' 10" RADHOLZ

Model: Sea Slug

Cockpit: Cockpit is large enough for stretching out on the seats, which is all you'll do on the Sea Slug, since the boat moves in a manner consistent with its name.

Cabin: Cabin has sitting head room, long bunks, with several leaks overhead.

Construction: Lapstrake construction is solid. Design er omitted any significant keel, so the boat sideslips.

Handling: Be sure to bring an anchor, and hope that the engine (a marinized Renault auomobile engine) feels like operating.

Engine Room: 1973 Renault gas engine (marinized). The engine powered automobiles for approximately 25,000 miles before expiring. Anything over 200 hours on a boat means that it's time for replacement.

General Comments: Makes a good flower bed.
