Boat Reviews By Owners

1997 -- 23' 0" CARAVELLE

Model: Interceptor

Cockpit: Size is crowded with four adults. We sit people on the engine hatch but have to be careful because the back seat tends to flip up if stepped on improperly. Carpet is pulling up, screws are vibrating out, lights are intermittant, two our of four speakers have died. I can actually see daylight through the fiberglass.

Cabin: Cabin door doesn't fit. Hatches yellowed within one year. The seats are made for people under five feet tall.

Construction: Poor quality from bow to stern. This had to go to the dealer four times the first year for electronic problems and a crack in the floor. The second year, it was sent back to the manufacture for even more indepth work on the floor and engine.

Handling: Handles well. Starts to walk at speed.

Engine Room: 454 MPI. Hardware was not stainless. Pullies and hardware rusted bad within two years even though it was never even near salt water.

General Comments: Boat was used for skiing on lakes but would be better suited as a man made reef.
