Boat Reviews By Owners

2001 -- 29' 6" BAYLINER

Model: Ciera2855LX

Cockpit: Cockpit is rommy for a 28 footer, Helm Visability is good, Large storage compartment under helm seat. Great for 4 or 5 people comfortably

Cabin: Large V berth & aft cabin will sleep 2 couples, dinette will convert to berth for a child. Plenty big enough for a couple to spend a week on.

Construction: The boat has given me few problems, which were all able to be repaired by me. There are obvious cost cutting, (and savings) made, but nothing to compromise the integrity of the boat.

Handling: Boat handles very well in all conditions I have put her through, from dead calm to storm conditions. Cruises as 22 mph & top speed of 40

Engine Room: 7.4 Mercruiser MPI Bravo 3.. Boat has plenty of power & backing with the Bravo 3 is excellent, although I did have a corrosion problem with the outdrive, which Mercruiser took care of, after a little persuation by my Mercruiser dealer

General Comments: Boat is in Lake Erie, is used for everything from going to the beach, going out to lunch or dinner to weekend trips & at least 1 10 day cruise a year. This is my second Bayliner (the 1st a 2455). My next boat will be a Bayliner 305.
