Boat Reviews By Owners
1986 -- 25' 5" BAYLINER
Model: Ciera Sunbridge 2550
Cockpit: Large Cockpit , enough for a removable table in L seat and bench seat over the bilge in the back.
Cabin: sleeps six, two in the queen size futon type aft cabin, another two in the dinette area, and two more in the v-berth) Head, shower, galley, and seperate dinette
Construction: Fiberglass/wood/teak trim in cabin
Well built, new vinyl in L seat back bench and captns chair. Only thing I replaced in Feb 04 was the bellows, anchor light lens, zincs, and O/D oil.
Handling: No racing for this express crusier. I have since been in rough seas and has gotten me home safe and comfortably. She lives in the sea "like a duck"
Engine Room: A hardy 260hp Volvo-Penta V-8 (Chevy) Block coupled to the heavy and popular 290A outdrive. (Anyone who owns a chevy knows how reliable the 350cid engine is its the same block) Oil is always golden after each pre-departure inspection. Swedes also know how to design an outdrive. (it kicks up if you hit something in the water)
General Comments: Yes, this is my second review, I seem to have alot more to say the longer I own the boat. She was my purchase from Jackson Marine sales in Maryland (Northeast) prior owner would know the ship as "Take it easy" and took care of her very well, when purchsed all pumps were almost brand new, upper deck L seat, captains chair, and bench seat were redone in white marine vinyl. She has since been re-commissioned the "Blue Flu" and has been refitted with a self contained air conditioner, new interior upholstery, fluorsecent and led lighting (Low amp lighting), New Pioneer AM-FM CD Player, new forward hatch, new steering wheel, outdrive tilt pump, head, and shower sump pump, refurbished propeller w/new spare, extra zinc, bow and aft flag holders with Pennsylvania Flag and American Yacht ensign, new large fenders with dark blue whips, and a new VHF/UHF radio. She is going to undergo more outside work this spring before the begining of the boating season. (Gel coat polish, anchor chest needs scrubbed, new drainage hose for anchor chest and aft deck, new impeller for water pump) and a new larger output alternator. She will also be having another survey done while out of the water. ( Not for a potential buyer, just so I can have more to do next winter)
