Boat Reviews By Owners

2002 -- 28' 0" GRADY WHITE

Model: 282 Sailfish

Cockpit: The cockpit on this boat is geared towards fishing but it's also a good cruiser. The cockpit is very open while still allowing 4 to sit. The helm on the boat is raised which helps with visibilty. Next to a pedestal captains chair is a large seat which could seat 2.

Cabin: The cabin can sleep three. There is a forward v-berth and an aft berth as well. The aft berth is approx 6 feet in length.

Construction: This boat is rock solid, we've never had any problems with it. Boat has a good sized livewell and fish box. One great feature is that everything drains overboard i.e. no macerators. One complaint is that you need to pull a tackle drawer out of the way to access fuel tank and livewell switches.

Handling: We've had this boat for 3 years and it's handled everything thrown at it. From 100 mi canyon runs to fishing in the flats.

Engine Room: Twin Yamaha 225 four strokes. Best engine ever! These engines are so quiet you don't know they're on. They are also extremely fuel efficient. As far as speed the boat is plenty fast, even with a hard-top. Fully loaded it will run 46 mph. With less gas I've gotten it to 50 mph (gps).

General Comments: Great overall boat
