Boat Reviews By Owners

1984 -- 25' 0" MACGREGOR

Model: 25

Cockpit: Helm visability under Jib good. Cockpit entertains four well. Cockpit handles singlehanded sailing.

Cabin: Cozy cabin with limited head room. Sleeps two with room to spare. Four if in a family way. Cabin is great for this size boat. Stores well and allows overnight comforts.

Construction: Boat is simple and well constructed. What can I say, Roger MacGregor is in the hall of fame! I leave the mast up boat in berth rather than trailor home after outing.

Handling: Seaworthy for beginner. Good but requires sail trim perfection downwind. The boat is safe. Heels well with come about into wind safety. For her size and weight she sails with the best!

Engine Room: 6 HP four stroke Merc brings up hull speed adequately.

General Comments: She is perfect for sailing fresh water or inlets. A low cost used sail boat that if maintained holds value well. Fun day sailor activities with cooking onboard.
