Boat Reviews By Owners

1969 -- 29' 10" PACESHIP

Model: Acadian Yawl

Cockpit: Large cockpit with tiller. Dry sailor with good viz.

Cabin: Room for 2 for extended cruising. 4 on a weekend. Changed alcohol stove to propane.

Construction: A well built hand laidup glass boat with glass hull/deck joint. Nav lights on edge of bulkhead caused rot. Mast is deck stepped and has been hinged to facilitate lowering/raising using the mizzen and winch. A custom double anchor roller and o/b bracket have been added.

Handling: Points well. Roller furling added. One slab reef point added. Boom roller furling gave a poor sail shape. Very seaworthy and ocean capable.

Engine Room: New Kubota 13.5hp deisel added. Very economical and a perfect match to the boat

General Comments: A safe, dependable cruiser for any water. N.S. built for the North Atlantic A good family boat and at 8'6" beam she is trailerable. Boat was trailered from Halifax to Vancouver Island.
