Boat Reviews By Owners

1998 -- 26' 1" AQUASPORT

Model: 250 Explorer

Cockpit: Cockpit is large and well laid out, helm is placed way forward which makes it uncomfortable in a 3' chop. fish box in the floor aft is badly designed, impossible to get to the bilge pump. Good fishing boat.

Cabin: Cabin is small for size of boat, it leaked and had no cross ventilation, in florida that means HOT<HOTand hotter.

Construction: Is a cheap production boat, Lots of stress cracks, lousy rub rail(plastic), if fuel tank goes bad you have to cut out floor to remove, plastic every where.

Handling: The boat is almost flat at the stern, Bad offshore performance. She has a 30 kt cruise with twin OMC 150's and a top end at 40. Boat has a hard top and enclosure which slows it down.

Engine Room: twin 150's johnson. they are ok not great.

General Comments: I purchase the boat for offshore use and ended up using it on the bay and reef. Good coastal and bay fishing and great diving boat. Offshore use will destroy the boat on a couple of trips. Not a Bertram or Contender, you get what you pay for.
