Boat Reviews By Owners

1970 -- 27' 0" OWENS

Model: Concord

Cockpit: Large open area, plenty room for fishing or a family picnic.

Cabin: V berth is roomy once your in, the helm takes up too much space in the galley and lack of a shower makes for a funny smell on weekend camping trips. :-)

Construction: Heavy fiberglass construction, I have not seen or heard of any problems with the overall construction of this boat

Handling: The single screw docking manuvers take some getting used to. Practice and a gentle wind help out a lot. Don't forget the boat hook!

Engine Room: Single screw, looks to be a '75 or later 318 chrysler, those are rated in the 215-225hp range. Probably a bit underpowered for this size hull.

General Comments: First large boat, I wanted more room but my limited budget was the deciding factor. Light trolling, drift fishing, and camping out on the water.
