Boat Reviews By Owners
1968 -- 30' 0" CHRIS CRAFT
Model: Sea Skiff
Cockpit: Cockpit is huge. You could hold a political convention on it. Helm visibility superb due to massive windshield. Great controls -- CC's superb center-throttle setup.
Cabin: Open concept -- no forward cabin bulkhead. Hanging locker and under-berth drawers. Huge V-berth. Great for 2 people for a week. Actually, 2 people could live on it.
Construction: Next to their Catalina plywood series, this is CC's best wood boat. Zero rot in hull. Usual rot in transom and cabin corners -- easily fixable.
Handling: This boat is so light and agile you can fling it around like a sport boat. Great in big swells -- bounces over 'em. Backs up like a dream, turns in its own length.
Engine Room: Chevy 307's...just right. Sucks gas like all big boats, but thrills are worth it.
General Comments: A superb boat. Great for singlehanding due to superb handling. Could be a good salmon fisher. If you can put up with the maintenance of a woody -- this is the one.
