Boat Reviews By Owners

1999 -- 39' 11" CARVER

Model: 392 MY

Cockpit: Well, its roomy; but the floor over the rear cabin is already beginning to sag and go "soft" in area. Primarily a luxury cruiser, you couldn't catch a fish to save your life - but really, that's what fish markets are for, eh?

Cabin: Again, itz ROOMY. Go figure, near complete lack of bulkheads or serious attention to structural reinforcements? Who cares, we're unloading this puppy in a couple of years - we'll let the next guy hassle with those concerns.

Construction: Like I said, itz a cocktail barge

Handling: Like a '56 Cadillac Eldorado (not the Brougham - that came later). Of course, the sales brochure said it was the finest handling sea boat, so who would question that? Itz just fine for our purposes - primarily lording over the smaller craft at our marina.

Engine Room: Mercruisers. Top o'the line; iffin' you don't mind clogged risers and leaking manifolds after 2-3 years. But who ever looks down there. We just fill the tanks and go! Cheers!!

General Comments: Oh yeah, she's the queen of the fleet. It's the biggest in the marina, and everybody loves to take the onboard tour. Makes 'em think we're rich - thatz what itz good for. We hate Viking owners, they're such snobs.
